|These full day trips spend all day on the river and focus on teaching you to learn to fly fish. Fishing schools include instruction covering equipment, fly selection, entomology, reading river currents, angling strategies and conservation ethics. We run our trips on either the Middle Fork or North Fork of the Flathead River, both of which border Glacier National Park. These waters support native West Slope Cutthroat along with Rainbow and some Brook trout. You’ll be fishing from a dory which can accommodate 2 people. Our guides are very knowledgeable, and if you don’t have much experience they will be happy to teach you some handy techniques. Lunch on the river is included. We have 8:30 AM departures available July and August. In September due to cooler temperatures in the morning our departures are at 10 AM. Our rivers become fishable around the beginning of July.
All trips require the purchase of a Montana fishing license prior to your arrival . We recommend printing one online by going to FWP web site. Most fly shops and sporting goods stores in Montana sell them as well.
