Glacier National Park will require reservations to enter the park from ALL entrances in 2023.
Be ready to hit the water for hours of fun! We offer several different types of boats including: single kayaks, tandem kayaks, triple kayaks, and stand up paddleboards. Note that triple kayaks are for two adults and one child (up to 120 lbs). We proudly rent top of the line Ocean Brand Kayaks.
Have questions about paddling in Glacier? We've got answers! We've compiled all of our most frequently asked questions about paddling in Glacier into one page and given detailed answers to help you better plan for your adventure in Glacier! Tipping is greatly appreciated! Our crew works so hard to make sure your gear is in its best condition before you arrive and we work extra hard to make sure you feel confident about our gear and the park before we send you out on your adventure. While we may not be guiding you all day, we do believe that the service we provide is just as quality and worthy of tipping. We accept credit card and cash tips. No cash? Ask your GO Team Member to add on a credit card tip when you return your gear. Thank you in advance!
If you want to transport the boat elsewhere, you will be responsible for transportation and for bringing the boat through all necessary watercraft inspection points, including the checkpoint at the west entrance prior to returning the boat. We can provide tie-downs and pool noodles for you to attach the boat to your vehicle.
Approximately Two and a half hours prior to closing, we will stop sending out walk-in boats. During peak season, this may happen earlier depending on traffic. We understand the frustration that this causes, but once we stop renting boats out for the day, exceptions will not be made for later arrivals, so please plan to arrive early!
We do not cancel for rain or cold weather. We will cancel and reschedule or refund orders if it is unsafe to be on the water. This happens primarily when there is high wind or lightning. We have also closed for poor air quality during fire season. If you are worried about boating in wet weather, we encourage you to check the weather forecast and cancel or reschedule at least 72 hours in advance of your reservation start time. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.
No worries! Your boat will be held for the duration of your rental period. Additional time can be added to your rental if you wish to extend your rental time. See pricing for additional hourly rates.
Reservations are not canceled for fog, rain, or a chilly day. We will cancel if the conditions are unsuitable for paddling or biking (lightning, strong winds or extreme weather). Cancellations made at least 3 days prior to the trip will receive a full refund. Canceling with a 24 hours notice or more will be able to transfer payment to a future trip or program. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will receive no refund. No-shows will also forfeit the entire reservation fee. If we cancel due to an emergency, extreme weather, or if the rental item is down for repairs you may reschedule or receive a full refund. If Glacier Outfitters has to cancel the reservation, we will make every attempt to contact you in a timely fashion.
